which Tudor

Hiya all

I currently have a Dssd , but am thinking of adding a Tudor , but my dilemma is I like two but can only really afford one, so just wondering what peoples opinions of which you would recommend me adding to my collection, so here goes, the first one is the Tudor Pelagos, and the other is Tudor heritage chrono blue!

Hard choice. You have a nice diver so get the THCB.

I much prefer the pelagos but the chrono will give you a more "balanced" pair if that's what you're looking for.

Yeah I'm kinda worried if I buy the Pelagos then it might be too similar to my Dssd, but then I also like the ruggedness and I'm sure it would be under the radar for most people what watch it exactly is.

i own the pelagos and the dssd, they are not similare

Have you tried them both on? That might make your mind up for you. Given the choice of those two I would go for the Chrono, but I prefer the black / grey to the blue. Good luck.

The answer is quite clear! That is my exact pair and I could not be happier with my choices.

I've tried on the THCB, but when I tried it was on the normal bracelet, really wanted to see it with the fabric as I think that kind of makes it look better in my opinion but the sales assistance was kind of reluctant to change it over, have not tried on the Pelagos yet.

I am not a fan of fabric, rubber or leather, so I am completely happy with it on the bracelet, but plenty of photos with it on the fabric strap floating around the net.

Go THC, but I prefer the grey with its less-busy, recessed sub dials and homeplate hour markers. Works better with the steel bracelet, too, and is more versatile visually. Mine even matches my dog.

Nice photo but I think I would buy the blue if I get it as I seem to be attracted to it more, might be because blue is one of my favorite colors lol .

Sure, if you like blue, get blue. Both work exactly the same. The bevel is great for tracking a second time zone too. With all the functions, it's the most versatile watch Rolex makes.

I believe it can be easy to damage the case if you've not removed the bracelet before and also the fabric strap will more than likely be in a sealed packet which they will probably be reluctant to open so I sort of understand why they don't want to change it.

I usually go for the diver style watches but that Chrono is really nice. I both envy and don't envy your position (if that makes sense). In the end you won't go wrong with a Tudor, they are great watches.

I was torn between the heritage and pelagos yesterday. When I got to the ad and tried both on it was clear the pelagos was what I wanted. ... And it's funny because I really wanted to like thc for diversity, but the pelagos is so awesome. Ever think about the black bay ?

I've not considered the BB because I like a watch to have a date function.

I know it's not on your list but i just tried on the Black Bay Blue and it was really very nice. I liked it a lot. Maybe another one to consider

With respect to my fellow forum members, I also fall into the camp of thinking that the Pelagos and DSSD are similar. To me, they both fall into the large, tool style watch, which you would not want to wear in more formal settings. They execute it differently, and have different "looks", but they fall into the same role, for me.

The THC is a very different thing, and I think you may enjoy having the different options. Plus, you will be two thirds of the way to the trinity of diver, chrono, GMT.

I own the DSSD, Pelagos and THC (grey and blue). I would recommend the THC blue. It adds variety into your watch line up. The DSSD and Pelagos are very different weight wise and in overall presence. But to the casual observer...they look similar. I'd shake things up with some blue, orange and white on this next purchase. That is coming from someone that wears a Pelagos probably more often than all my other watches I own. I only wear the DSSD and most of my Rolex's on weekends. A Rolex sends the wrong message in my line of work. The Tudors and Omegas don't since they are stealth wealth.

I'd go with the Pelagos...that watch is all over my radar screen right now.

If you're looking at the chrono, I would also thrown in the Fastrider. Man, that one is a sexy beast.

I own the same gray THC and find it a great choice for dress (fits nicely under a dress shirt) or casual (chrono, etc.). My only complaint was that the date window was too small to see with my aging eyes. Added a small sapphire Cyclops and couldn't be happier. Seems to balance out the real estate and made the date window more useful.

Bottom line...buy what you want is always the best advice.

I think the DSSD and Pelagos are quite different. But up to you if you want a collection of divers (many only collect one type of watch) or diversity. Good luck with you choice and hunt.

If you have a DSSD and like blue, why not sell the DSSD and upgrade to the blue/black dial version?

Yeah I'm kinda worried that if I buy the Pelagos it might be too much in the same category as my Dssd, a dive watch , so don't know if I would get bored of it , but I do like it's snow flake hands and the fact its made from titanium and that bracelet looks really comfortable the way it acommodates the wrist.

If the dial was all blue then maybe, but as it is doesn't really tempt me to sell my one for it.

After wearing my pelagos all day I can honestly say its awesome. Just buy it and don't look back, you will love it. Just bought the BB and pelagos same time & I have to say I love the BB BUT am very very impressed with the pelagos
