Input Needed - Datejust 1601
I am new to this forum and the world of Rolex and am considering this gold linen dial 1601. I would appreciate any comments regarding the authenticity, condition and asking price of this watch:

Why not search our sales section? You can see the dealer reviews in the "who's who" section, get stellar service, and avoid the mine filed that is eBay.

The watch is nothing special for the money, so you won't be losing a bargain by forgetting it and doing some research here.

The head appears to be a nice example for the age of the watch and is priced accordingly. I wouldn't place any value on the strap if it is fit with a counterfeit buckle. The seller seems to have a good reputation on ebay.

It's an OK 1601, not superb or stellar. Wear, polish, etc. For that price, there are many others available far more exciting. If you're going to go two-tone, learn about Wide Boys and make sure you don't want one of those: similar price and a distinctive (possibly the MOST distinctive) appearance in a 1601. To be honest, I got a TT Wide Boy with original bracelet last year for much less than this.
