Serial Number Inspection
As I get closer to acquiring my first Rolex, some questions come to mind. Of course I am going to purchase new at an AD. Is it therefore unnecessary to have them remove the bracelet to match the serial number to the number on the warranty card? I am a young guy (and look even younger) and don't want to be taken advantage of.

If you are planning to purchase from an AD I don't think that would be necessary. With the newer models you may be able to check it on the rehaut.

Very unnecessary IMO, especially at an AD.

We had a member here who bought a Rolex from an AD and the hang tag didn't match his warranty paperwork. He took it back to verify that the watch did match the warranty work.
So if your Rolex doesn't have the rehaute, I would ask them to take the bracelet off to verify against the paperwork. What do you have to lose except for a few minutes. It's worth the peace of mind. |

buying from an ad i wouldn't bother unless you just want to see it. i got my wife a new ladies platty ym from swiss luxury and i did check it. of course it matched the papers so i wasted my time but i did get to see it. lol
if it has a branded rehaut it will be at the 6 O'Clock position. if it doesn't it will be at the 6 O'Clock position on the case between the lugs.

In addition, no AD will remove the bracelet of a new watch for you

I am a young guy too but i think that the AD is the most legit place to buy your watch
I think that this is unnecessary in my opinion cause AD's are 100% legit
