Lume on vintage hands breaking?

Hi Guys, having now bought a 1675 1967, and 1680 RED 1972 and daydate 1803 1974 (se attached) ive pretty much got most of what I want (Great White next!!), however reading through a few of the threads on here there seems to be a bit of conflicting advice on wearing vintage watches as day to day timepieces. A few threads have warned about lume of the old hands cracking or breaking if worn regularly, has this happened to anyone? I'm a desk worker so wouldn't be exposing watch to heavy vibration or shocks etc... but just wanted peoples opinions! I've bought these watches to wear and LOVE wearing them!

Any advice? thoughts??

Very nice collection. There's nothing wrong with wearing vintage watches daily but everything wears and breaks down. Most lume breakdown is a result of non-normal problems like moisture or water ingress. When a problem is spotted, your vintage watch service person can stabilize the lume with various methods. These watches have made it for 40+ years and they are made to be worn. Enjoy

Nice watches. I'd have thought you'd have got most opinions already in those other few threads on the subject?! Same place, same folks, same "conflicting" views!

wear them often, keep an eye on the lume, I'd only seal the back of hands if cracks start to show. & while waiting look for a few matching hand sets just in case.

to me no sense owning if you don't wear them, the lume does crack but it can be sealed. I've had it sealed on both my1665 and1680
