Help with a 6234 - Value - Authenticity
Hello - New member to this forum. I was hoping to get some feedback from some of the more experienced members on a Vintage 6234 shown below. Have never owned a Rolex Chronograph, and the 6234 is an appealing piece to me. Very versatile. Can not afford a vintage Daytona (but always a possibility in the future) so a pre-Daytona seems a good place to possible start.
I believe this 6234 is 1956-ish (S/N 130XXX). What is the approximate value of a piece like this in today's market? Dial has some "patina" and age, how much does that effect the value and re-sale value? I know the market for these has been soft, so what dollar value makes a piece like this a "good buy" with trade-up value in the future? It does come with original bracelet as well. Thanks for your help and input - Jeff |

I'd suggest you compare what you have posted with this information on Stefano M's blog re reference 6234 and 6238, including dial, hands, movement, case, caseback.
