HELP! how can I identify which Rolex my wife currently has?
Hi all-
As posted earlier, I 'm looking at getting my wife a new Rolex. In the meantime I am trying to figure out which one she has right now. The warranty card (from the green Rolex box) says it is Style Number R69160A18B7824 I Googled that am came up blank. Any idea? It was bought 16 years ago (1999) and is 26 mm stainless with a pinkish brown face and says 'Rolex Perpetual Date' on top. It does have the date and bubble. No numbers (Roman numeral or otherwise)......just dashes where each number would be. Except the Rolex 'crown symbol' is where the 12 would be. I've looked thru the entire box it came from the AD in and can't find any other description. It does say 'Silver Tapesrty' next to the word Dial on the warranty, though. I'd post a picture but don't know how to download a one |

Google Rolex 69160, is that it? It's part of the # you listed above.

I think A is the serial number. A serial is a 1999 manufacture date

Good work Alpino but it doesn't look like that one is going to make it.

No it can't . S/N never appear in that form of US reference. It can désignate a modification/variation to the model.
Call it "polished" if you prefer ... |

You can probably get close to $2,000 for her old one if you trade it in to AD, just a guess. Some AD's will give you good trade in value but will probably not moved much on the MSRP of the new watch.
