DLC Help !!!
Hi guys I have found a sub going for a great price the down side is it has been DLC coated at some point and it has chipped off in some parts can it be striped back to factory finish and has any of you guys hear in UK had it done ?

I think you're out of luck unless you are ok with the coating itself--trying to remove it will likely destroy the watch. Get it cheap and wear it!

Pass, you'll probably ruin the watch in the process of removing the coating. That stuff is tough

Thanks guys I wouldn't be happy with the DLC coating it's not really for me. But if it can be professionally removed for less than £350 then it would be a bargain.

Since you're in the UK, this is of no value to you, but International Watch Works in Cary, NC, USA can chemically remove most DLC and then polish the watch so that it looks like...a professionally polished Rolex. Maybe even a little over-polished. Cost-$450 USD.
Since you can't ship a Rolex into the U.S. legally, you might check with the company that performs the best DLC treatments in the UK and ask them their opinion before buying the watch.
