Waiting for the many incomings. I was not as impressed when I saw in the flesh, but to each his/her own.

I too wish it had the rose gold bracelet.
This watch with the rubber strap does nothing for me...but that's just me.
To each his own!

Tried the 37mm on in the boutique today as well.

Interestingly enough, on the new YM, Rolex has actually changed the shape of the case between the lugs. They've flattened out the rounded part which on other models causes problems with putting leather straps on.

Also, the strap isn't cut to fit, like other straps, like on the aquanaut for example. Rolex offers it in multiple sizes.

+2. The rubber on a Sub yes, but a gold bracelet on a Yachtmaster.

I really like this watch. I am sure it would be amazing on a gold bracelet, but it is so much more wearable and versatile on the rubber strap!

I really like this new YM. For me I'd change from rubber to leather strap so I can wear as dress, casual or office.

And I thought white gold was subtle. It's non pm, pm piece. Good point on saying it will be appreciated as it circulates for awhile but I can't see warming up to this, particularly at that price point. Needs a bracelet or to my eyes, it's a black rubber watch with a hint of ever rose.

300th post- I promised myself I wouldn't cry.

I tried it on at a Rolex dinner last month, it is a beautiful watch, but not sure it would dress up with a suit

looks like the case shape is from the strap version of the pm datejust , its got the wee flat bits on ,, i dont know if the end link on those is a permanent part of the case or not , if not , that might give a bracelet option.
