So what happened? Did the OP went to the AD to check this watch? Are you still insisting on its authenticity?

What you have there is a fake ceramic submariner 116610.
Rolex only released that watch in 2010 so it is certainly not something dear old grand papa bought many years ago.

Immediately obvious is the printing on the bezel which is too thin. THere is also a visible gap between the bezel and the crystal, something you will never see on a genuine rolex.

Compare yours to the photo of a genuine one on Rolex.com

http://www.rolex.com/watches/submari...l#cfgvar=bezel

Yours is not only fake, it's a bad fake.

The lume pip is off center to the left and the etched crown doesn't look right. The lettering looks off and the bracelet seems to have gaps that you MIGHT find on an older model but not the new solid link bracelet. I don't know why people are saying it's a bad fake because I've seen much worse. I'm still going with fake though

It's for sure a fake. I always here the story of how my grandfather left me this rolex that he purchased years ago and then it's a newer model. Every time I here that it's fake.. And pretty funny.
