Look what happened to my new Diver 15710

This was my latest incoming on the 5th. Didn't even get a chance to post pic. Slid on sand and dump the bike and end result is both of my new toys are damaged. The only upside to all of this is that sent to watch Clearwater Tuesday it arrived on Tuesday at 1030 and Betsy called me at 130 with and estimate. Don't know wear else you get service like that. However I am pleased and watch will back like new again in 2 weeks.

Sorry to see that and hear about your accident.
If you didn't sustain any significant injuries, that's fortunate!

Can't it has deep scratches and nicks in the bezel. To much character for me. I know things will happen over time. However this is a bit much

I agree with you, and glad you're okay.
Its okay, and nice to have character build on a watch after a few months/years of wear. But sucks if all of it happened in one go at an accident, so I can understand.

Make sure to show pics when she's back man!
They will just polish her out I assume, and make it smoother gain?
I dont assume you should need a new bezel. =/

Ugh glad you are all good

I wore my diver c for a few weeks on the bike and when a TRF member brought it to my attention that I will go down eventually....I stopped wearing it for such activities. But with a steel case I would be more comfortable...ceramic such a rip off to replace.

Same thing happened to me on my last in Thailand in September, but I had way too much to drink, luckily I had my BLNR and not my 5712 so bezel and case were fine but bracelet took a beating, what bike you have? I have an HD sporster 1200…

Well yeah on a bike you eventually go down, so I also don't wear my CE diver, in fact don't wear any watch except my 5712 if I'm wearing a thick leather jacket on top of the watch, sure a knock could damage it a little but the CE diver could break and as you say would cost an arm to replace...

Ouch. If it was an older watch I wouldn't mind that too much, but since you just got it.

Bezel has to be changed.

Can you get it on your insurance perhaps?

Glad you're okay. And medical bills can easily cost more than watch bills.

Is it an expensive fix?

I really want an Offshore, but I'm scared to get one without a ceramic bezel. The watches are pretty thick, which makes it harder to protect than my 15400.

It's like when I bought my first new car a few years back

Drove it off the lot and wham. Some knucklehead rear ended me. And if that wasn't bad enough, when they did, I got pushed into oncoming traffic despite my best efforts to resist momentum

Which resulted in me getting t-boned by several unaware motorists. Even to this day, some 30 years later I still remember what the car looked like.

So consider, it's just a car, watch or whatever. You lived to tell about.

So sorry to hear about this happening! Especially so soon. Glad you're okay. I know that doesn't help. I got my 15710 a week ago Thursday. Today while taking my daughter to EB Games/Game Stop, I turned to look at some PS$ games we were debating and I turned and the watch face scrapped across a metal table they have in the middle of the floor selling used tablets. I was so scared to look. I was astonished to see zero damage. I went back to the car and checked a second time and about 20 minutes ago checked a third time. Not a scratch so your fall must have been significant! I hope your bike is okay too.
