New blue diver

New blue diver, well only the strap of course, I like it, think it gives a little original touch, and good news, I tried today a 44mm and the size is absolutely normal, so I think the next will be the RG 44, tried also RM 011, very nice but can't see myself putting that kind of cash for a chrono only piece…

Sorry for the crappy pics, will try to post normal ones soon…

New blue diver

Looks sharp!

I'm after another strap for my Diver - actually I want the steel bracelet and a leather strap with a deployment - BUT - when I talked to a boutique - they said they are not 'available' for the diver...

I think the white Diver strap might also be a good choice. Please try & post some pics in natural daylight as it's hard to see the blue in your pics, cheers 😄

I agree, the white strap should bring some nice contrast to the watch. I'm getting one for my rg novelty as we speak

Don't understand the blue strap. Maybe orange or white to contrast some dial color.

But hey, your watch, so that is what matters. Enjoy it.

They're not available for the Diver, but they will fit – if you've any further hassle trying to order them, either speak with the local AP Service Dept or contact Alastair at the London AP SC for the details, and then you only need quote those to the boutique.

It's only a 120k watch, why bother figuring out what complications it includes before calling it overpriced?

They told me the same thing for the blue strap, in fact there are ones that can be put, but AD's have instructions from AP not to "denature" the watches, when I asked for the blue strap they told me no, I had to say to another that I had the SS diver to order it

Yes I agree white would be very nice, will see for summer if I can get a white one

Well in fact as I understood you don't have the days and months, just the date and it calculates the months with 30 or 31 days, is that the case or did I get it wrong?

Bingo.
Well I will look about a white one for next summer, the contrast should be interesting, for the blue it's because I love blue

I found them incredible but for me at this price point it's not my first choice for a 3rd watch, I am still hesitating between a datograph simple or PC and a AP 44mm in RG, it is stunning and having a RG would be nice with my SS and CE

Looks like you'll need to edit your profile to update your wish list, then.

I would try to go a bit rarer for a third watch if I were you, though. The 5712 and diver are very nice, but not too uncommon in our world. The same can be said of the 44rg, which I and a bunch of others in this thread and forum love and own.

Go for a showpiece here; something that you're not going to see in any other threads or on any other wrists. If the RM11 is out, move on that dato perp. Unless conkers beats you to it, I think you'd be one of the first 3 around these parts to sport one.

the Lange is a great piece, and can be had at great prices, but the idea of RG appeals also, time will tell

It shows the month in a small window between 4 and 5. Must have been a great dealer if they didn't take the time to explain everything to you. It is also a fly back Chrono with variable winding capabilities which can be customised for the user.

PJ could you get to know if there is a white rubber strap for the diver and the reference please? I won't get it now but definitely around April for the summer would be great, white and black would really pop I think

THANK YOU Roger , it's not the first time I ask this and never got an answer, I've looked on multiple pics from the net and never managed to find it, now that you mention it I do see it, but can't say it's super easy to see, well it was a saleslady, but not worse than the guy at the airport who when I asked about a JLC which has a slider on the left side "is it a minute repeater?" told me yes, which I found incredible for 46K, as soon as I got on my laptop I looked it up and it's absolutely NOT a minute repeater...

For now the one which I am considering getting is the Dato perpetual, great complications, impeccable finishing and quality, clearly on Patek level, interesting and original dial IMO, amazing movement, for now of all the watches I have seen it's the only one that I found mind blowing, but not in PT, in WG as I prefer the dark grey dial VS the light grey one of the PT, plus WG is significantly lighter than PT so that's a big plus in my book...

Plus the WG version is discontinued, basically on chrono 24 you can find BNIB PT models for cheaper than the WG but the dark grey dial of the WG is worth it IMO

Interestingly enough I've been talking to the folks at the Showroom in Paris (the wife and I are going over the holidays and I am scheduling an appt) --

While it doesn't appear I'll get a stainless bracelet there - there are some alligator strap options as well as a plethora of colors in the rubber strap.

I'm 'hoping' or should I say holding out for a brown alligator with deployment....

We'll see...

Well of course it's not the best one possible, white or maybe orange would be great plan on getting the white but I love blue and it gives a little originality while keeping it classic
