1st Service: Replaced the crystal as it was scratched.
2nd Service: Dial & sweep hand changed due to discolouration.
3rd Service: Case & balance wheel changed after motorbike accident.
4th Service: New bracelet and case polish.

After all this it still looks like new

I went 13 years before my first service. However if you stick to the 5-7 year rule of thump and nolonger than 10, I think you would be ok.

I love to show my friends the Rolex 1503/7 that I own... 18 kt gold case, leather strap, beautiful gold fluted bezel with a white stick dial recently serviced by RSC Dallas.
It looks brand new and I tell them it will last several lifetimes. Name anything else which can be used everyday, not use up its value and actually appreciate?
Oh, by the way, the watch is from 1968.

That's a very interesting job you have. How did you get into that, if you don't mind me asking?

After years of hard work, long hours and good fortune, I lucked out.
Now it is easy work, short hours and no fortune needed.

As someone stated here. I'm just storing them for my son. That says it all.
