Best place to buy vitage Rolexes?

A friend at work asked me, and I didn't have an intelligent answer for him, so I thought I'd ask the experts here...

Thanks!

I don't know how practical this is, but occasionaly there are posings of a watch shop in England with a window display of Rolex watches that just blows your mind away.

Burlington arcade in London has several shops that specialize in vintage rolex. I was there in May and have photos but can't post them from my iPhone now but will later. Other than that TZ is where I'd look.

Since you're a fellow Mass-hole I'll point out that there are 2 very fine vintage watch shops in the jewlers building in downtown Boston. their names escape me but I'm sure if you did a little net-snooping you could get their info

My jeweler has a couple of Rolex Oysters on straps with the California dial. I have no idea what these watches are worth, but I think they are from the 40's or 50's. Does anyone collect this type Rolex here?
