Had several watches at one point and decided to reduce to my daily sub-c. I wear it at all occassions everyday and all day! From gym to gardening to working on cars. Never looked back since.

I share a passion for true "drivers' car " bmws as well. Love the 2002 and envy that you had one. Very cool. I have a 16 year old E39 m5 and refuse to upgrade until i see a worthy replacement. They dont make raw cars anymore! Its all muted.

Cheers.

I too had several nice watches at one point and ultimately decided to trade up to my grail, the WG Sub 116619LB. I love everything about this watch and wear it as my daily. I have no desire for another watch and hopefully it stays that way! I also keep a G-Shock for the arduous tasks so as to not intentionally put my WG Sub in harms way.

Only one for me. 2009 Rolex Sea-Dweller V-Series, bought in 2009 and almost new at that time. Many others have since come and gone, but this one is the one I will never part with. Right now liquidating all other watches to give room for other things I am equally passionate about...

I only have one, a Submariner I bought new in 1985 to celebrate graduating from college. It was the only watch I wore for 28 years. Its been hit, scratched, chipped, repaired, polished without my consent (and my horror) by a authorized watchmaker, sent back to the factory to be refinished, & pawned twice and paid off twice when I went through a divorce in the 1990's. Its followed me through the ups and downs of life, 100 mile bike rides, hours and hours of running and gym time, and I still have it. Its long since lost its cyclops eye, but it'll go to my son when I'm not here anymore. I have a few other nice watches that I wear now, and i'd like to have a Sub from the 70's, and maybe a new one too, plus a Deep Sea, but the "85 Sub will always be with me.

That is one hell of an awesome story and one awesome watch.

This is how we should be as watch owners - wear the living hell out of them and enjoy the journey.
