Bracelet Sizing Question

So i think that my current watch (GMT C) may be a little tight. Probably need to add one link.

Do i want the same amount of links on the 12 o'clock side and the 6 o'clock side. Or does one side suppose to be longer? If there has to be an uneven side which side is suppose to be longer?

I have "4 links" on my 6 o'clock side and "5 links" on my 12 o'clock side. If i wanna add a link and move one notch smaller on the clasp. On which side should i add it to?

Ideally you want the buckle to be centered on the underside of the wrist, but comfort for the wearer is paramount. In most cases this involves an 'uneven' link number to each side...

First, is your easy link open or closed? If it's closed, opening it could give you the room needed. You also have three minor adjustment positions to adjust the buckle on the band. Extending this could also help if the adjustment needed is slight.

I have an equal amount of links on each side with the easy link permanently open and the clasp spring bar adjustment on the middle hole. Try equalling the links and adjusting the clasp adjusters

The watch is perfect when the easy link is open. But i want to have the option of having my watch fit perfect with it closed and being able to open it if i have any arm swelling due to elevation, weather, ect.

Also its set on the most open spot on the buckle. So i can always move those in to make it tighter. So knowing this where should i add the link to which side?

Currently the watch is sitting really center with 1 extra link and easy link open on my 12 o'clock side.

Without knowing your wrist shape, I'd say close the easy link, move the buckle setting to the most inner or center position, and add a link to the 12 side.

It's more about centering the buckle, not the watch, but must be of comfort to you most importantly.

I also always keep my easy link closed when wearing, so as to open/extend in warmer weather when the wrist swells. That is the way Rolex intended IMO.

You may need fiddle to fit it to your needs however. Best of luck!

Move the spring bar clasp into the middle or furthest in spot and add a link to the side with 4 links so you have 5 links each side

Going back to mine, I have 5 links on each side plus end link, the easy link open and the clasp Spring bar set to middle position.

Thank you. This is what i'm thinking i should do. Just wondering which side to put the extra link on too.

Ill keep in mind to center the buckle on my wrist.

i have five at 6'o and 6 at 12'o and clasp at the middle notch, but YMMV

Most people have more on the 12 o'clock side. Mine have 5 on the 6oclock, 7 on the 12 o'clock.

This is what i was trying to figure out. A lot of people say try to even them up but i know most people have one side longer than the other.

There's no right answer, your wrist shape could be different. Figure it out yourself but playing around with the links.

No, they are almost never correct if "evened" out.

It seems to me that if the watch is "perfect" for you when the EZ link is open, then when it is closed that is the same side you should put the extra link in.

You can source a half link for the bracelet, that would also help to center the clasp.
