I was in Bournemouth a couple of weeks ago and had a nose in the Charles Fox window: http://www.charlesfoxjewellers.com/watches-rolex
They had a good selection of Rolex stock including quite a few of the S/S sports range, might be worth a phone call.

There is also a jeweller literally across the road from Charles Fox in Bournemouth that had a good selection of pre-owned, http://www.michaelmatthewsjewellery....-series/rolex/

Watchfinder are trust worthy and offer a very good service in my experience but they are selling BLNR's with a big premium added which is a bit unrealistic.

I just received a blue black GMT here in London UK if you are interested? I've dealt a few times with some Ts here but I am mainly on another UK based forum if u need feedback but I believe I have some here too. Let me know!

I bought my Yachtmaster from the Swiss watch company here in the UK.

The watch was faultless in every way, exactly as advertised and the price was good for the model year and condition.

Use the Chrono24 app and filter the results such that only UK sellers show up and obviously filter the app for the model your after....16710.

Plenty of dealers use the site and you can see how long they've been in the game. Adds a lot of peace of mind for making the purchase and remember, if you enquire about a watch with anyone...NEVER pay the sticker price. Haggle.

Good luck.

Ty for the shout. I might check them out. I work in Bournemouth so may be able to pop in at lunch!

I want to thank everyone for all the messages pms and advice.
At first I was thinking that everyone would turn their nose up at this newb and just ignore me but it's good to see the Rolex forum got a pretty good community going on here with plenty of people checking and providing advice where they can.

I'm going to carry on looking. I got a budget of about 5,500 USD. Which I know is not much. I just love the 16710 so much. It's iconic, it's different, it's classic, I love where it sits on my wrist, it's sporty and classy at the same time and I work with colleagues in China so GMT is pretty awesome.
I know it's probably out my range that's why I'm trying so hard to find a decent deal. Maybe if the right one came along I could squeeze some more funds out lol

Thanks again

I think you will do well to get a good example in the UK for that budget. complete set 16710's are rarely seen on the usual sites at less than £5k these days. I had to pay most of that last year for a really nice full set 2007 coke model. you have to have faith in the seller if you are going to buy on line!

I bought a 2007 Coke recently £4700. My advice would be to wait and save a bit more.
Good Luck the wait will be worth it.

If you have no joy in Bournemouth I think Watchfinder is your best bet:

I got it from Alex Pig in Hong Kong. The guy was awesome, posted it straight away, sent me tons of pics, gave me daily updates after shipping and all in all great guy to do business with.

It was risky buying from a different country however prices in the uk are crazy and it was a gamble worth taking. Lol

The watch is in amazing condition and can't get over the quality found on a Rolex. The GMT movement is so interesting!

Shame I couldn't so business with the Rolex forum sellers due to being out of the states, however hope opportunities arise in the future as I want to get my gf one next! Thanks again J

"Buy the Seller" was the best advice ever. I have had a PAM, a Breitling, etc, etc. All retail. When I went to get my first Rolex (what I've always wanted), I went to, of all places, eBay. I found many that were too good to be true. Avoided those. Then found one that was priced right, had box/papers, etc. But the seller was just an average joe. So, I asked for the name on the back of the warrenty card (his name) and name of AD he bought it from. I called the AD, and they confirmed the name of the seller, the date it was purchased and the watch that was sold.. A little footwork goes a long way. The Datejust II I'm wearing on my wrist as I type this cost me 5500. I would never buy without papers as I've seen both horrendous and amazingly convincing fakes, but a few emails and a call to the AD and I saved 1600 (2200 including tax) with a little work. No paperwork? No dea.

Nice! I love that Coke, the slightly faded bezel makes it look so cool. Well done!
