Rolex repair
Hi guys,
Right i've got my quote back from Rolex (also pleased its not a fake) for general repairs after my mishandling of it in a severe way. 760 odd pounds. But i have opted not to get the dial replaced because it looks absolutely fine (although they say he lumi is fading) so it comes to 486 pounds. This includes full service (needed glass replacing), a new clasp and link, and a new bezel and spring. does this sound reasonable? I miss my rollie its been away for a month now so i hope i will get it back soon. thanks |

A normal service runs about $500 USD. The more they have to replace, the higher the cost of service. With all the items being replaced on your watch, I'd say that's about right. Looking forward to the pics upon completion of the service.

2 years ago I paid $1,060 for a RSC overhaul for my TT Sub. Included were a new crystal, crown and tube, and $200 for internal bits and pieces.

The clasp and link and the bezel and spring will cost as much as the actual service...
So it sounds about right.. Did you have some clasp and bezel damage..?

Just had my sub serviced, by an authorized servicer. The base started at $250, they replaced all gaskets, mainspring, crown, and the illuminated point at the 12 position on the outer bezel. They only used Rolex parts. They cleaned lubed, and polished the crystal, case and components. Waterproof tested, adjusted time accuracy etc. The watch looks new. All this with the return of the used parts and the rolex part cases with part numbers. All this for $360.
It has never been so accurate! |

It's about $500 for general service, if parts need to be replace there will be extra.
