Help Wife wants a 3rd Rolex or AP??

My wife has a bling'd out Datejust and a RG Daytona of which she loves both. She is thinking of adding a 3rd Rolex, though I am trying to influence her to get an AP.
She also wears a Reverso, an Aquanut and occasionally a Chanel J12.

If Rolex, I'm thinking maybe a two tone Yachtmaster or Daytona?
Any suggestions?

Which AP model are you considering? Judging by her collection, she seems to prefer watches with a feminine vibe to them. Just going off what you presented, I'd refrain from another Daytona. If you do go the Rolex route, maybe something a little more understated would add some variety. Perhaps something with a darker dial?

Wise piece of advice. Obviously share your views, and discuss as much as you want but ultimately go with what SHE wants...

Perhaps a white Sub could work... but I see your point in suggesting an AP.

She doesn't know what she wants....is why we are both proposing the question.
I've shown her several photos of two tone Rolexes etc.
AP to no avail, for some reason she doesn't like the design.

Don't try to talk her into something, unless you're hoping she hands it off to you when she doesn't wear it!

A two-tone Daytona doesn't make any sense when she's already wearing a full-gold model. Maybe she would enjoy a Rainbow Daytona, though! Your price range throughout the collection seems to support it.

That is understandable but she needs to see one in the steel before reaching any conclusions.

Your wife seems to be on the sporty side, but I would consider also Cartier.

The two tone blue dial Daytona is a pretty nice piece. Rolex also makes a nice YG model with the same dial

A two tone Yachtmaster would be a great addition, IMHO.

Not understanding the sarcasm.
Simple question for guidance and advice, so yes it's for real?

I wholeheartedly admit I don't know much about Rolexes. My wife likes them. Any advice is appreciated.
If I were to own one, I would (and am on the hunt) in the future pursue a 6263 Big Red.
If you see my other threads my collection is a bit more off the beaten path.

You need to put an AP on her hand and let her see it in person. It was hard for me to like the APs from pictures until I had one on my hands. The play of light, shadows and reflections hitting the various angles - pictures just cannot do justice to it.

Pearmaster 39. They don't get a lot of mention on TRF... but the style looks right. Plus it has the latest movement.

Looks like you like to spoil your wife and she like Blings. Good for you can afford to treat her real nice!

Nah...for AP. At your caliber I would suggest a Patek, Van Cleef & Arpels or A. Lange. She will be a real satisfy woman.

If you really would like her to go for a 3rd Rolex, I would suggest the following:

Either a DD40 or an AP RG with diamonds.

She really needs to put an AP on and see the difference.

Any new rides?

How about the 15400 RG with white strap and white face? Serena likes it.
Or if she prefers a 33MM

Take her to a boutique and have her try it on

Help Wife wants a 3rd Rolex or AP??

A lot of real conservative and old school assumptions here "you can spoil your wife"... "Clean up her act and might get her something better" what makes you think that the wife does not work? Can the wife not be from a wealthy family or is a high flying executive herself? Must she be some sort of property of the man she married?

Welcome to 2016 fellas, not sure if you can hear this all the way back in the 1950s. OP simply stated his wife's preference for watches and you guys make so many assumptions already. Not good.

Maybe you can introduce her to some of the ladies PP Nautilus models? They are a bit "softer" and more feminine in appearance IMHO - maybe that would be a good direction.

Nothing wrong with a man "spoil" his wife. Nothing negative here. Ladies like to be spoiled by their husband. Its sign of love. whether she has a job or not, it doesn't matter.

You are right, she can afford them herself too.

I like to spoil my fiancé from the time to time as well. But she is an independent woman who likes to spoil me sometimes too! It's a two way traffic for us.

I just dislike the assumption of many men that women must somehow be "given" such lavish gifts, she could have gotten a promotion, she could have invested in the right stock, she could have just inherited millions.

Just like the numerous scenarios a man may find himself in where he feels like rewarding himself.
