It is obviously a matter of personal taste.....but brown? I mean, how many new cars does one see in brown? Who wants brown?

Just imagine...the Platona's ice blue dial with a navy blue bezel....or a dark green bezel....or even a black bezel.....purple....burgundy.....
On the contrary I drive a sparkling brown BMW and I am always getting comments. Brown with this ice blue snaps plus if you read the history of this watch some claim this was Rolex tribute to Paul Newman, blue eyes and brown hair. Trust me, to see this in person, you would be blown away and the weight of this thing is off the charts.

WG Blue dial has nothing on Platona. I saw the blue dial in person and it is very plain. This watch is a beast and the top of the food chain for Rolex. Trust me, I have owned literally every sport model and I am happy to complete the cycle.

I have owned both and while the WG Sub is very nice, the Platona beats it by a mile..maybe two! For me it is the most beautiful Rolex in their current lineup.
