Receiving Discount When Purchasing 2 watches at once
Hello all,
In the near future my father and I are planning on purchasing two Rolex watches at the same time, a 116622 Platinum Dial Yachtmaster and a BLNR. Do you think that an AD would be willing to do a discount on the two watches if purchased at the same time with cash? I know that a discount on a BLNR is completely unrealistic however we are looking for more flexibility on the price of the Yacht. Thanks in advance! |

ADs are all different. Small town store, big city shop, clientele are mostly tourists??
It really depends. Have you tried a TRF seller? |

Probably can get them both from the same trusted seller on here. Save yourself even more money.

I have an AD that continually gives me a 20% discount and no tax. I don't see why you shouldn't get a discount on this purchase, if not, try someplace else!

Is this on in-demand SS watches? Are you a regular purchaser of high-end watches / jewelry from this AD? |

Based upon my most recent experience, I'd say absolutely. Every AD is different, however. But how you go about it - I would suspect - has a lot to do with your success (or failure) as well in my opinion. I'll be acquiring the BLNR in a week or so. Due to its demand, many say that discounts are few and far between on that watch. The AD I'm dealing with is providing me with what I would consider to be a fair reduction along with their willingness to toss in some swag. But again, I'm sure every AD and every situation is different.

If the sales person and manager will shave their commission % for a twin sale I think it's doable.

Should get one for the YM anyway so by buying both I would expect a nice overall discount.

If AD is located in a large urban area then perhaps not a good discount. I would not settle for less than 10-15 percent off yacht master and 5-10 percent off blnr...and a diet coke.

Like everything else, it pays to shop around. Depends on location, how sales were that month, how well you get on with the AD, potential of repeat business, referrals, economy, etc. The best I've managed on (some) SS models is 15%, even when I once bought two watches at once. I think PM watches might go for up to 20%. Good luck and let us know how you did. Cheers!

Only one way to find out...ask the dealer(s) that you plan to buy from. Better still, check out the "trusted sellers" here since you are after discounts

Full disclosure - I buy from both TRF sellers and my local AD (the only AD in my rural province of 700,000 people). My AD gives me good discounts because I regularly buy jewelry and watches. My AD takes 2% extra off if I pay with cash instead of using a credit card. |

You should be able to get atleast MSRP out the door on the BLNR, and probably a bit under MSRP OTD on the YM, buying both at once. Hopefully you find an AD with them both in stock so they don't have to order.

Went in to local AD on Saturday. Knew going in that a discount on the BLNR would be hard to come by. Sales lady told me that "They aren't allowed to discount" and that I could only be offered no sales tax by shipping out of state. Told her that we could pay cash for both and she said she would have to speak to her manager. She tells me to come in today and that she has an update. What kind of realistic discount do you think I should expect for the YM since I'm purchasing two watches at the same time? Is 10-15% discount on YM asking too much?
