It just never grows old, now does it?

Granted, I'm new to the forums. But am not new to the Rolex family of watches. Purchased my first Rolex BNIB at 18; a two tone datejust. That was many moons ago (30 years).

It's interesting to see and share the excitement of all the threads here along with the 'Incoming' and awesome 'wrist shots' you folks put up. It's funny, while I have a Hulk, a Bluesy, and a Datejust, every time I see pics of a Hulk, a Bluesy, and a Datejust, I'm like "Awesome watch!!" Like I've never seen them before. And the excitement just gets better and better with each and every pic you folks post. I'm like, "Ooooh, an incoming on a guy who bought a Bluesy. I gotta' check it out!"

I guess it just goes to show that these watches we wear are far more than simple timepieces. They're a part of us. Many come with stories, many hold fond memories, some are a symbol of a life's work, an educational milestone, and for some still - the end result of years and years of scraping here and scraping there to get that one Rolex they've always wanted.

Being a member of the Rolex family (to me) goes far beyond the watch I wear or watches I own. It's something far more special and meaningful. Some would argue that it's just a damn watch. While true, it is. But at the same time, it's one helluva damn watch at that!!!!!

Well said and I agree with one of your points especially. I see pics of the 114060 here and I always say "man, that is gorgeous". Then I just look at my wrist and smile.

Welcome! And I'm always happy to see enthusiasm and not bitter wisdom or overwhelming exhibitionism

Well said. Dreamed of a Rolex as long as I can remember.
Finally felt I was at a place where I could justify it.
It is nice to reach that life milestone, and the watch serves as so much more than a thing that tells me what time it is.
Glad folks here appreciate the joy in one of these.
