Today is a Happy 6538 Rolex Day
Just wanted to share my good day. Today I got my 6538 back from Bob Ridley. Here are some pictures. Its really a pleasure to look at. Yes it is a redial but a fantastic one. Other than the redial and later Rolex replacement bezel insert its all original and now I am happy to say in fine working condition. Should be ready for another 50 years.
I had a second bit of good luck today as well. I have been looking for a Rolex green glass crown paperweieght for months with no luck. Well today I found one and bought it on the spot. I should have it tomorrow. Maybe I should have played the lottery as well. Marc H. |

Here's the second part of my good day (s). Arrived this morning. I had been seeking out one of these for many months.

Wow, a real beauty!
I'm new to this wonderful forum. I too have a 1958 #6538, the Red Triangle model and COSC chronometer, but has your same bracelet. I'll need a redial as yours has. Mine sadly was done in some years ago by a local. How do I get in touch with this awesome guy who did yours. Do I need a second mortgage to pay for it? ideas appreciated. |
