Movie Suggestions for Ultra Long Flight

I am traveling to Sydney in 2 days for my year end vacation. I am looking at a 13+ hour flight!

I am trying to think of movies to download on my laptop to help me pass the time. Any suggestions from you guys would be more than welcome.

You could probably download episodes of a series!

Ray Donovan, Suits! IDK - I just named my two favorite shows.

The new Star Trek is good and so is Free State of Jones if you haven't seen those. The lord of the rings trilogy I could watch over and over. Just a few I like.

For a TV series Mr. Robot is pretty good...seasons 1 and 2 available for download. I watched season 1 earlier this year on the way to Shanghai and it served it's purpose well. Safe travels!

Concussion w/ Will Smith is a good one..

More importantly, which watch(es) are you taking?

Assuming you are on a late departure out of LAX, as most flights from North America do into SYD, you will be arriving early to mid morning Sydney time... What I suggest, and try to do myself, is just sleep. Gets you into the timechange easier, and that way you aren't so bagged on the first day/s there.
If you aren't a plane sleeper, good luck with the boring flight! At least you aren't flying from YVR direct, as that's almost 2 hours longer!

More importantly, have a great trip downunder, there's lots to see....

Agree with the series idea. Many available.

Or do a movie series like the Matrix trilogy, Star Wars, Godfather or similar.

I never have time to watch TV at home so I buy entire seasons of shows on iTunes to keep me busy while flying.

Or, if you're flying in business or first, have dinner and then sleep the rest of the flight or until breakfast

The Missing season 1 and 2. 2 was the Best show on UK TV this year.

Damn, I'm starting to envy your flight, better than going to sleep at 3am every night because you just had to see one more epi.

Some excellent suggestions of classic films above: Godfather, Godfather II (also consider the re-edited version of the two films The Godfather Epic, in which the story is told sequentially), Once Upon a Time in America, Lawrence of Arabia. All outstanding films.

I would add an excellent film (which received mixed reviews at the time) my wife and I watched during recent a long flight: Heaven's Gate.

Also, Once Upon a Time in the West.

This should get most of the flight. Caddyshack is another solid choice.
