I prefer a watch whose color picture isn't identical to the black and white. Use your cones as well as your rods.

Save up and get BLNR so you won't regret any of it!

If its the glide lock on the Sub that's the deal breaker, I understand the Sub bracelet does fit the BLNR (please correct me if I'm wrong)

That would probably be your perfect compromise if you could source a Sub bracelet.

Admittedly it wouldn't be cheap, but if its going to be your daily wearer for the next however many years, then I think it would be money well spent.

No brainer to me.
I flipped my SubC for BLNR and like it much better.

It sparkles a bit more, has a lovely pop of colour and just feels more special.

All just my opinions, but I'd do it in a heartbeat

It does indeed fit the BLNR and it's pretty awesome looking

Very tough choice. Between my LVc and BLNR i would have had a hard time deciding which one to keep. Sub is sportier and better for everyday but BLNR is special.

Thanks for the confirmation. I am surprised more BLNR owners don't consider it.

Maybe this could be a Rolex/Basel upgrade?

SubC = 114060.
SubdateC = 116610.

Both are a better choice than a BLNR 116710.

Even if just for the bracelet.

Isn't the BLNR a standard GMTc with a different bezel?

I have the BLNR but have a diver in my collection. I have the SD4K. They are two distinctly different watches although both ceramic bezels and to some, very similar in appearance. It's one of rhe reasons I went for the BLNR. Different case shape, cyclops etc. BLNR is a great watch, I wouldn't however add a regular Sub to my collection if I had wanted a diver.

Longtime SubC LN owner considering trading up for a BLNR

I swapped a SubC for a BLNR. I had an overlap, the BLNR bracelet was brushed and out put the SubC and sold at a generous discount to my brother. I now have a BLNR with brushed clasp and SubC bracelet.

I actually put this watch on today after two weeks out of rotation and I love it, perfect watch.

I do wish I had kept the SubC as well though.

From what you describe I would suggest keep the Sub C - you clearly love it and if it was not for the BLNR wouldn't think of parting with it.

I would keep a sub in the collection. If you feel compelled to trade why not pick up the Hulk. Get a little color in the collection and keep all of the advantages as it is a Sub. See what Basel 17 offers and save.

sounds like you have the itch to trade. welcome to the club in that regard :) I would stick with sub. Grab the BLNR a bit down the road. think you may miss the sub. I have thought long and hard about flipping my 116610 SubC for BLNR or even a two-tone SubC. But I know I would miss it. BLNR amazing though. I understand the dilemma.

In a similar situation myself between these 2 watches although I'm not flipping. Just going to buy one or the other.

I THINK I've decided on the SubC date over the BLNR because I think it's more subtle and you can dress it up or down more so than the BLNR which although undoubtedly is a special watch, it is more in your face. (IMO)

I'm going to jump on the bandwagon with the others that suggest keeping the sub and saving up for the BLNR. You'd regret selling it.

You like the idea of a new watch. Let those feeling pass until you have at least a year with your Sub.

Im not keen on the sub due to non symmetrical bezel marking plus older font. So inwould go blnr.
