Useless to most people, but not us.

There is only one known photograph of Hans Wilsdorf wearing a Rolex.

They are less expensive to own, sell, and service, than exotic cars.

The oysterquartz design originates from the genta designed Texan pre dating the Royal Oak

I can safely store 25 Rolexes in my small safe; a Porsche would take up half my garage!

The round counterweight on the seconds hand eclipses the 'O' in Rolex on the dial when it passes

Tom Selleck wore a Pepsi GMT2 on Magnum PI which debuted in December 1980. He still wears one occasionally on Blue Bloods, a current 2017 show. I wonder if it's the same watch, or if he has sprung for a new WG model. I also wonder if he still has the original from 1980 somewhere even if he's wearing a new one.

I was talking with an AD who is also a member here and we were saying how I should "buy the one that sings to me most" and his fellow assistant came up to us and she said that's a really nice expression. We both said, "Is it? We use it all the time on TRF." When two worlds collide.

He also gave all the main characters a Rolex submariner as a gift when the last episode was completed.

A Rolex once helped determine the time of death of its owner in a murder investigation
