Submariner encounter..
There is a local here where a lot of the foreigners hang out. A pretty tight knit group where everybody kinda knows you or someone you know. Quite the United Nations. I've met people from every continent and every corner of the globe.
I'm in the other night and run into a friend from the Netherlands who introduces me to his buddy from Australia. We said hello, shook hands and then looked at each other's wrists. He says "Oh you've got the green Submariner."  We then had a lengthy WIS conversation.

The WIS connection really brings people together. I recently walked into an elevator and instantly noticed the other pax was sporting an old "McQueen" Explorer II. He said he'd owned it for 30+ years, since new. We had a quick conversation and then it was back to work. I'd never have said hello had I not spotted his watch.
