I run over my YachtMaster with my lawnmover, can I get it fixed?

What is best a custom Rolex or a Rolex that is stuck in custom?

Buy a professional camera and you´re a professional
photographer, buy a flute and you own a flute.

Send it in for service, but whatever you do, DO NOT LET THEM POLISH IT, it will destroy its value!

I think so, once it is done you can just put it up for sale: "YM only worn on my day off"

Never have a watch polished? Really guys? That is complete nonsense, as David said, if a skilled watchmaker who knows HOW to properly polish a watch does so, the results will be just as one intended, and clearly that's to preserve the "new" look of the piece...now my vintage pieces? No, I agree, do NOT polish them, they have some slight battle scars from the decades of being worn but that's to be expected...and I dig that...now if I scratched the piss out of say, my brand new 116600 or brand new Speedmaster, then yes, I would have that taken care of, and I can rest assured that my watchmaker will do a damn fine job and I would have ZERO regrets

Worn in "rotation", as in the blade...

I love the YM non-polish all though I have never seen a Polish one first hand to compare it to :-) Very nice photo looks great On that strap, makes it a little more casual.

Sorry for the late reply! I started wearing the watch again and I'm glad I didn't throw the baby out with the bath water. The other day I went to my AD and tried on a new YM and realized the spikes on the bezel on the new one isn't as sharp as the bezel on the submariner which is what I was comparing my polished YM to. Also, I noticed the edges of the bracelet on the new one are as sharp as my polished bracelet. The only thing I still don't like is the sand blast on the bezel that was flattened out not sure why anyone would do that but you can barely tell. Sorry for the late pics! Looking back at the replies from February the best one was the one who accused me of crabbing, casting a net and coming back months later to see what I caught loll. I didn't mean to do that, I'm new at message boards and didn't expect quick replies!

On many levels, this thread is the poster child for overreaction.
