Being a "Car Guy" I see lots of car analogies.
For example I bought an imported sportscar many years ago that had a factory paint imperfection right in the middle of the bonnet (yes, it was Italian). I had the Dealer fix it - and it WAS a very good job - but I always fancied I could see the respray. It was probably the right decision. Another e.g. : My model MX5 was manufactured (for a short time) with an "Enviro-friendly" clutch plate material that causes a 'judder' unless you are very skilled with it. I had a hard think about whether I wanted the local clowns (Dealer) to do major work (replace the clutch) on a new car and the answer was "No" - so I decided to live with it. I don't regret that decision. You need to know yourself well enough to know what will be the 'right' decision.
