Rolex Prince Observatory
I have a Rolex Prince Observatory and have been told that there are 17 different models of them. I have looked at over 200 photos and not seen one that has the same dial as mine. My watch has the word OBSERVATORY printed over the top of the seconds dial. Does anyone know what the name of my model is?

I'm not at all familiar with vintage models, but those who are will likely ask you to post a photo of your watch.

yes , we need pics
Observatory usually indicates a high end chronometer movement Pics of the watch case and dial will help. There is usually a reference number on the case back Julian |

rather than send - post any pics you have
you will need a photo host service like imgur or photo bucket Worst case scenario email to me and I will post them Julian |

The only one that I have ever seen with OBSERVATORY in that position was called a Corvette. However it was clearly labeled as such. I can probably find the pic if you want to see it.
On my Wellington it is placed at the bottom, straight across between the 7 & 5 numbers |
