Dedicated to my friend Mark (Runnin' Rebel)
Hi all!!
This thread is dedicated to my friend Mark and to all who love the sea and this reference. Since I was a child I live very close to the sea. Surrounded by fishermen, boats, diving masks, sand... Everything related with the sea!!! Since I was 8 years old I know the brand and it's history. Of course when you think in Rolex and sea most people says "Submariner", BUT when you love sailing you think in the "Yacht-Master" (well, not sure for others but for me). Many of you know the Yacht Master's history starts in 1965 with the 6239 (Daytona case) but Yacht-Master dialed. Few models were produced and well known prototypes appeared. Till 1992 Rolex did not released the famous Yacht-Master we all know. Since then some variations appeared and went popular or underrated. Why Mark? Because I met him in 2017 Vegas GTG and I really appreciate him. He is always regretting having sold his 16622 Platinum dial and I said to him several times to get one again. I love sailing and the YM is a very special watch for me. Means the sea, boats, wind in the sails, salty odours...all what I love!!! Mark!!!!! You need this one again and must be a keeper!!! Is a unique watch. Stop regretting!!! Hahaha Few pics (some are Google's) which represents what I was trying to say. Have all a nice day!! Porter. Nice!!! I bought my wife the 35mm version for our 10th anniversary. It's the only Rolex she loves and will wear.

Carlos,
Your something else ! Although I hate being the center of attention, what can I do. Thank you so much for being on call for my daughter while she was visiting your island and Barcelona! Stressful time while she was there during the attack so I appreciate your help so much As usual your watches and love for watchmaking is amazing and I know I'll to be late to fly out since you might not be there much longer, maybe your new home we can visit. And for you here's one of my favorite pictures of my missing flipped 16622 This one is all about love and indeed special to me One day my friend it'll come back to me. Cheers my Spanish buddy Below are my wife's Yacht-Masters 35 mm- gone too she loved it but hard to read as was mine. ^^ But an interesting story TRF member Sam suggested to me about the 16622, enjoy looking at the time, don't be so quick as part of having a Rolex is to enjoy looking at the time and reading it. Even if it takes a few extra seconds it's worth it. -^^ The other 35 mm- she liked this and kept it ^^ Fresh from FEDEX delivery and it'll be back one day Thanks Carlos, Hope to see you soon my friend And too see a daytona case with Yacht-Master dial that as a first for me Sent from my iPad while on the beach
