New DJ36 Running 13-14 seconds faster/day..
Hello there,
I recently purchased a brand new Rolex Dayjust 36 with 3135 movement. After observing the watch for a couple days it looks like the watch has an average variation rate of running 13-14 seconds faster/day. I have been wearing this watch almost 15-17 hours per day and I manually wind the watch 10 circles every morning to ensure full power reserve. I am quite concerned/confused of this and not sure what I should do about it. Anyone has ever experienced this type of issue before? Should I take it to the AD/RSC to have it checked out and serviced? I've had this watch for about 2 weeks now. Break-in period related? Any input is appreciated. Thank you! |

If the source you are using is reliable, then your watch may need regulation.
14 seconds a day is really too much. Something you might try is to let it run down completely so that the mainspring has expanded fully, then wind it 40 full turns. Regulating it to proper specs is a warranty issue.

Ues time.is as a source. I sent back an OP for 11 secs per day. The regulated it and it came back about +2 secs/day. I hadn't bought it from an AD so I had to pay for shipping ($75).
