I only wear PM. People who worry about it are either OCD, or are really stretching their budget to buy one. It's the same as the Citizen watch wearer who buys their first and only Rolex and asks tons of "is it safe to wear my Rolex when..." questions.

All watches get scratched just like a new car. After the first door ding/scratch it upsets you but after a while you don't sweat it. My cousin has wore his DD36 for every day for 32 years. He went through two bracelets and a few major overhauls. The watch was definitely scratched and worn out, but it still looked pretty good till he put in the safe this year when he picked up a new DD40. By the way, he was in the construction and agricultural business. I say go for it!

I have been wearing my Rolex Daytona 116506 occasionally, I had worn it a couple of months every two days due to rotation. It's a great watch, don't care about scratches however yellow gold or rose gold can be an attention magnet but since OP asked about a white gold GMT Master II variant that should not pose any attraction
