BLNR with Blue Alligator

I got a BLNR around Christmas last year. it is my only watch and i wear it 24-7 all the time. l love it. I can't wait to see what it is going to look like in 15, 20, 30 years. I have however been thinking it would look really cool with a blue alligator strap.

does anybody out there have one? where have they bought it. I would love to see some pictures. I don't even care if it is calf skin that is embossed.

Blue alligator looks nice, but I hate the end-links. I think it would look nicer with just the blue strap.

I'm a fan of the blue alligator. Mind if I ask where you got yours?

Love these croc straps. I have similar ones on different watches than these but without end links, they ruin the cool look IMHO.

If you don't use the end links, in order to prevent the strap from rubbing against the case and getting worn prematurely, you need flat straps or better still, straps with curved ends. Rolex sports watches are not designed to be worn with straps and the springbars sit very close to the case to help with the snug end links fit of the original bracelet.

I've read that you can put a small piece of tape on the edge of the case to prevent this. Haven't tried it yet, but will at some point. You can buy curved spring bars, and that may be another option. I just don't like the look of the end links.

How do you add the Rolex clasp onto a leather strap? Also would it be hard to source an Oyster clasp on its own for this purpose?

Nothing better than the oyster but do what you like, it’s your watch after all

Curved spring bars might do it. Cheers.

Although the blue alligator strap looks nice, I would keep the original bracelet on the BLNR.

I wear mine on a semi-glossy black croc strap (which matches the glossy dial). Nothing wrong with the original bracelet, but I prefer leather. The strap just barely fits, with basically no gap from the watch head.

I also have an Everest croc (alligator? I forget) strap with fitted ends, no steel endlink. I don't use it because -- despite what their CS told me -- it really doesn't fit wrists less than 7". And it's definitely overpriced for the quality. But if you have a big enough wrist and don't mind overpaying a bit, it's a solid option.

The maxi case makes the leather strap look so small
