another thread really got me thinking about this moonphase watch.

anyone on the boards have one? whats the initial impression? would like to get an honest review...

Saw it as well and love the simplistic yet awesome design.

Purchased both moon phase and annual calendar. Not for everybody for the obvious aesthetic/cost reasons. But they are well built, the quality as to workmanship and operation definitely evident. The titanium cases are light but solid and the straps are awesome. Have not been disappointed and would acquire more models if/when, ymmv . . .

Yeah, that's the cost part of my little entry. Same thing has been said 'bout the new, smaller Ingenier with it's fairly pedestrian ETA movement and many others, I'm sure. 'Course, didn't stop me from gettin' one of them, too . . . As is true with all of life, though, to each their own, eh?

do you own just the titanium models? i love the Ti, but the silver with the patina factor on that watch intrigues me also.....

they look awesome and its one of those watches you will probably never see anyone else with one on ever!

Mahalo c.rod! 6.5 inch wrist, fairly flat. Having hands on only with the titanium cased models, can't speak definitely on the silver, but I don't think I would be disappointed. I corresponded a bit with Beat Weinmann, a great guy btw, and he is very precise in the fact that their presentations are out of the mainstream. That said, they are very busy . . .

If/when you elect one, I'm willing to bet you won't see another one for a long time, if ever. Beat tells me my pieces are the only ones in Hawaii, at least at the time of acquisition. Good luck to you in whatever you decide . .

The ONLY thing that would keep me from purchasing is the 42mm size. I have 8" flat wrists and I like bigger watches. I'm also 6'3" athletic build, so big watches look like they belong on me. I know lots of people wear smaller watches on 8" wrist, but my preference is towards bigger watches.

Ah, understood and that is very important from my perspective. I can identify, having spent a small fortune on purchases and consequent sales of watches that are too large for me. These 39 mm pieces are perfect for my wrist in my eye. Perhaps ochs und junior will create larger future models . . .

Very cool piece! I have been really liking the boutique and small house craftsmanship and low production designs recently. The uniqueness is of huge appeal to me with this piece.

Congrats Michael on your collection form Ochs und Junior! They are unique for sure and I love that about the watch. I also love the fact you will probably never see another person with one. I love the moonphase watch and seriously will consider one for purchase next year. They really look great on the wrist.

Thx Kevin! From the looks of it, you have a pretty nice collection yourself already. Adding an ochs und junior would be exciting, from my obviously biased perspective, of course. If/when, would love to see what you gravitate to in terms of colors!!

Lol! Good find. Not yet, I have bought so many watches I need to be more careful or consolidate. I did spend many hours on their website trying to select the perfect combination however.

Nothing wrong with an ETA base even in high end pieces.
