Rolex PN Replica by Maurice de Mauriac

Hi all,

I came across this watch a little while ago and I was just wondering what your thoughts might be. As a fan of the original, but without the funds to purchase one, I find it rather interesting. I did some research on the manufacturer and he is a pretty reputable watchmaker based out of Zurich. The watch comes with an ETA movement and is true to size.

Pls kindly share your thoughts.

Thank you.

Not my cup of tea. Is that sub dial at 3 oclock all distorted?

My thoughts are that it is a knock off of the original and says so on the dial.

Zero interest from me

Is it a replica of a de Mauriac or what is it pretending to be?

With all the fake PN dials out there, @ least it's a breath of fresh air for someone to admit it's a replica on the dial lol......

It just makes me wish even more that Rolex would revive the PN dial in all its iterations. I would have been far more excited for that than for a ceramic bezel. Give me that, the new SD and an Exp II and you have a phenomenal collection all on its own!

And the waiting list time would be about 10 years.

The Gevril Tribeca also does a good job with this PN 'replica'

I would wear the Steinhart Ocean One Chronograph before I wore that thing

What do you mean, you don't have the funds to purchase an original one? I'm sure if you break the piggy bank and search under the sofa cushions you can find $17 million.

Agree with the others - if I wanted a PN replica I'd go with the Steinhart or the Gevril. But luckily for me the Paul Newman look has never appealed to me.

I literally laughed out loud at replica being on the dial. But hey, at least they’re being honest about it.
