Seamaster Planet Ocean my next watch?
I’m thinking of pulling the trigger and adding this new Omega to my collection. Can you provide your experience and thoughts of the watch? If you don’t like it, what you would recommend instead. Definitely want a Blue face. Thank you.

Do it, do it, do it!!! I had a speedy pro, which is a great watch, but was very boring for me. I am in love with the PO and just got a blue face as well. Has a great wrist presence, can be worn in multiple settings and has an amazing movement!

I have the black and was torn between all three 43.5mm variants. Its a fantastic watch, great build quality, the ceramic bezel and dial are awesome and the adjustable bracelet is as good if not better than a sub's. The METAS certified movement is incredible in terms of accuracy, mine has averaged +0.1 secs per day over 3.5 months. Post photo's when you have it |

Mine is the 8500 movement and 42mm. It’s my second Planet Ocean. I gave the first one to my son. They are GREAT watches! They keep excellent time, are very durable and look great. My only complaint was getting the bracelet adjusted where I wanted it and that has been remedied in the latest 8900 movement version. I have ordered the adjustable clasp for mine as well. My advice would be to see if you can find a good deal on one from a trusted seller. Mostly though, YOU NEED TO GET THIS WATCH!!

Well, I just bought mine on January 8th & it’s getting all my wrist time! My Explorer is getting lonely:)
I was looking for a casual weekend watch to wear to the games & my sons ball practices and since I’m a Cincinnati Bengals fan this one immediately spoke to me. I was torn between the strap version or the bracelet, but the strap was more comfortable to me & It fitted my purpose for the watch better. I have a 6 3/4” wrist and this watch just feels great to me, the dial & bezel is just awesome & it’s keeping excellent time. Needless to say I’m very happy with my purchase! Post some pictures of yours when you get it! I even wore this watch to Church on Sunday with my suit & I think it dressed up okay:) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

On the blue face blue bezel is the Bezel on the glossy side. I know the black face has more of a matte grey Bezel. Thank you.

This is the smaller 42mm Titanium model used. It’s a nice watch
https://www.rolexforums.com/showthre...a+Planet+Ocean This is the 8900 movement 43.5mm steel and blue https://www.rolexforums.com/showthre...a+Planet+Ocean This is the 42mm steel 8500 movement. This is exactly the same as my watch https://www.rolexforums.com/showthre...a+Planet+Ocean If you do a search in the Non-Rolex sales section there are several Planet Ocean watches. This is just a sample. I hope it helps.

The planet oceans are bad@$$ watches indeed. I think the blue face/ceramic ones are not photogenic at all but look killer in person every time I see one. Maybe someday I might add one of the newer 39mm ones in blue to my collection.

They are awesome in every way. But it's gotta be orange. Blue is boring on a PO.

I've had mine a few months now and it's getting plenty of time on the wrist, I'm on holiday now and it's the only watch I have brought with me. It's beautifully made and keeps fantastic time. It was bought as a casual wearer and saying that, it's to chunky and mines to colourful for wearing as a dress up watch.

I have a pretty decent watch collection and this by far gets the most wrist time.

Wonderful watch. I had the original 2500 model back in the day and I've always regretted trading it. Has a much better feel than the six digit Submariners.

Get it! I just can't seem to wear anything else these days. Robust, accurate, and beautiful. What more could you want?
I'm in a suit/tie today and the PO fits right in. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

I must be a sissy, as I found them to be just too big for me. I’m 6-0, 225, with 7.75” wrists. I wore something this big for a few months and ended up passing it on to my son in law, as it just felt too “clunky” on my wrist.
But with that said, they ARE beautiful pieces and certvery reliable. |

I think they're great watches but definitely on the heavy / thicker side.
I couldn't get mine under a dress shirt cuff. If thickness doesn't bother you but weight does, consider Titanium. Fortunately the blue comes in titanium or steel last I recall. Good luck! |

I flipped the 43.5mm PO last year and I wish I hadn’t. It was a nice watch. Great bracelet too.

Yes! Fantastic watch. Other than thickness/dimensions, trumped my Hulk in every measure when I had both.

How is the thickness of the 39.5mm on a small wrist? I keep reading the PO line has a thickness problem? Thanks for the extra pics. What camera are you using?! Everything looks so sharp.

As for a camera, I'm just using my phone. It's a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. It continually surprises me how nice of photos it can take. Of course that all depends on the lighting and I do a little post processing / color tweaking too. |
