Cats!!!

Who loves Cats here? Wifey and I have three, each unique with their own personalities.

Lets see some pics...

The first picture is Bongo, full name being Bongo Marley. Wifey and I went with that name because he always looks stoned. We adopted him at a local Petsmart here in town. A few vets told us he looks like a Maine Coon. His personality is definately unique from any other cat I had ever owned. Very demanding, likes to chase lights/reflections, oh and he has no teeth except his four canines. We adopted him with rotten teeth, so only soft food for the poor guy.

The next picture is Mika, short for Mika Lani. Shes the pretty sassy one, very typical aloof cat, also typical of calicos. Tolerats being touched, but you can tell she would rather not. Always follows us around to whatever room we are in. She was adopted from the Leid Animal shelter.

The last picture is with Bongo and Sammy. Sammy's official name is Samuel Murphy because he looks a little Irish. He's an Orange Tabby, and the most friendly cat I have ever known. I can be on the other side of the house and I'll yell, "SAMMY", and he comes running and meowing! Just like a dog. Our friends think its the coolest thing. Sammy also loves being on laps and if you give him a chance, he will "groom" your hair. The alpha male of the lot, loves pouncing on the other cats. He was adopted from Petsmart as well via Heaven Can Wait.

Nice cats Chris. My wife's a cat person but I'm more a dog man. That's probably why we don't have either.

Great pics Chris. I love cats as well. At present I don't have any but we are planning on getting some soon.

I like dogs but, sorry dog lovers, I much prefer cats. They are cleaner, don't smelll funny, dont dribble and drool and are miles more intelligent.

I was brought up in a house full of cats. For a while my mother bred Siamese cats - usually tabby (or Lynx) point.

Great photos, guys! I am definitely a dog person, I've never really got along with cats. They aren't excited when you come home like a dog is, it merely flicks its tail and looks disinterested
I have to know that my pet is excited to see me!

(I must note, I have no dogs. I keep telling my mom that I'm going to use the money I'm saving for University to buy a beautiful Rottwieler puppy, but she says that both the puppy and I would then be homeless. One day though.... )

Yes, he's a weird one, he brings in field mice without so much as a scratch on them, it's then my job to catch them and take them back out before the wife has a breakdown!

He brought in a couple of birds as well, they were a nightmare but yet again he never put a mark on them, how on earth that is i don't know.

But the worst one to date is the time when he brought in a kitten, how the hell he got that through the catflap in his mouth i'll never know, again he never touched it, just brought it back to play and like all the others it's only when i turn up that they suddenly go mental and run away round the house.

Seems like he's trying to give you some fresh meat to eat. I think its their way of saying "thank you for being a good owner, heres some fresh kill for you". That must be a pretty funny scene when you have a mouse running around with your wife screaming at you.

My cats are indoor only, but my orange Tabby loves brining up small objects from downstairs up to our bedroom floor. I always say "Good cat" and pet him a few times.

By the way, whats your cats name?

Archie, we got him from the rescue shelter just over a year ago, he was taken back a couple of times by others, mainly because he has a bit of energy now and again and for no reason at all he will bite, and when he bites he puts the teeth all the way in with power!

Arichie's probably afraid that he will be sent back to the shelter again one day, and perhaps he might not make it out this time. We've had our cats for a few years now, and they all were a little skiddish in the beginning. Then again, I hear some cats never get over that. Like many cat owners, I have lots of scratches on my arms and legs! Worth it though.

Hell he bit me 3 days ago, right in the thigh and left me with four big holes. It hurts for a couple of days but then it's away, i'm used to bumps and scrapes so it's no big deal, i just make sure kids are never around him as he's too unpredictable, but for me and the wife he's fine.
