Help! FPJ CB + Seadweller 126600 OR ALS 1815 Flyback Chronograph (Pulsation Dial)

Howdy,

I have been struggling with my next watch decision severely over the last few months and have decided to enlist the overwhelming expertise of this forum.

In order to commemorate a milestone in my life I have given myself a budget of $35k or so to get myself a watch (or watches). I currently own a 16710 Pepsi, an IWC Portuguese, and a Speedy - this new addition would clearly be a large step up for my collection.

I think I have narrowed it down to two options:

1. F.P. Journe Chronometre Bleu and a Seadweller 50th anniversary 126600

This is the combination I thought I would be getting as I had been set on the CB for a while; I think the tantalum combined with the almost magical blue dial is really something special. Add on FPJ's storied watchmaking history and the rarity of his pieces and I thought I had a winner. The Seadweller I have never tried on in the flesh (hard to find!) but have always wanted a little more beefy version of my GMT - especially one in ceramic. The red lettering & cyclops is a bonus! I have bigger wrists and don't have much doubt about fit. The two seem to go nicely together - the SD can be worn almost anywhere in any activity, the che CB is a beautiful piece for work or functions.

2. A. Lange & Sohne 1815 flyback chrono pulsation dial (white gold, white dial).

This piece was never really on my immediate radar; as a $50,000 watch it was always out of my price range. However, a friend and trusted seller found one - a one owner watch which has essentially lived in a safe for the last 6 years or so - at a price within my budget. I love the pulsation dial, ALS's finish, and of course the movement is one of the best in all of modern chronometers. It really is amazing, fits my wrist perfectly, and looks just stunning.

Now, the question is which combination!? I by no means think this is the end of my collecting, but certainly will be for a little while as I lick my savings' wounds.

Is the 1815 chrono such a timeliness watch that I shouldn't give up the opportunity to own it? Or is the CB so beautiful and the SD so durable that I can't go wrong with this two-watch combo?

Thanks very much for all your input! I really appreciate it.
