I'd pick whichever sang to me the most. I went for the SD43 without ever trying nor seeing a Deepsea.
The anniversary edition might perhaps seem a little bit more special but really in the end it boils down to what it feels like on the wrist. |

Have both and would say that I believe the Deep blue is a better looking watch but the SD43 wears better. If I was only going to have one. It would be the DSSD.

SD43
I have them both and, as cool as the Deep Blue is, it cannot match the versatility of the SD43, which can be worn with a suit or worn casually and is still plenty over-engineered |

My two favorite divers so there's no wrong choice but the D-Blue is a more special piece in my opinion.

unfortunately, it isn't anymore. That was about 9 months ago. It was a watch the dealer sold to a regular customer. He couldn't get over the cyclops. He traded it back for another Rolex and Tudor. It was the same day that I went in to purchase the D-blue. Since it was 2 weeks "used", he offered $1000 off MSRP. The watch was sold 2 weeks later.

My AD actually had a Deep Blue in the display case for a couple of weeks. I must have gone in there 3 or 4 times to try it on and try to convince myself it would work. In the end, common sense prevailed and I passed. Just too thick for my wrist.
