Hey John,

I like it .Although it concerns me that Panny strap fever has taken hold so early.

There's nothing wrong with being gratuitous! :) :)

It suits the watch well - Panerai do make a lovely dark blue gator strap BUT it's very expensive and sometimes it is just too dark so it looks black-blue. You normally get it with the titanium power reserve or GMT.

Once you attend a Panerai get-together you'll have a chance of trying different strap combinations. I still think Don is the best value although Dirk was always my favourite strap.

Don has a great selection and because he's in Canada, no crazy excise. I just wish he'd accept paypal on Canuck orders. We have to send him a M/O or cheque via snail mail.

Now Shane.. by Dirk do you mean Dirk in Belgium or TC Dirk? Never mind.. I know.

It's actually lighter in natural light, so your visualization is prolly bang on. But, I can always get some baseball glove oil and darken it a bit.

The big Pannies always seem to go well with ANY strap. Not sure quite why, but I think it's true. Baseball glove erl. My favorite for darkening a strap!

You have become a very sick individual. First you dive into Pannies as though there is nothing else in the world. Then you get this strap fetish about them. But you can't leave well enough alone. You get a new strap and immediately have to doctor it up. I really think you need to up your meds dosage considerably, John. I'm going nuts just trying to keep up with you.

I really like it J!!

On the contemporary straps, the thumbnail is best, but don't underestimate the PreV style on the historics.

There's only one Dirk and that's the guy in the small European country famous for mussels and chips, the 'Atom' structure, and chocolate! :)

Ed, maybe you should get your dosage upped to keep up with ME. I hear Lance Armstrong knows a good pharmacologist.

Of course.

Although I must admit, my pedestrian tastes prefer croc to sharkskin.

Me too, but I was trying to get into the summer mood. It was a 199 degrees out though so my summer mood kept me inside most of the day.
