I have a 114060 and LV and they are different enough but not so sure about Sub Date w LV. That might be a bit redundant for my liking.

For me yes, I'd sell the Black and buy another Rolex.

It's your money. Get whatever you like and can afford. BTW, nice trio in the pic!

I have both. LN is my daily. I don’t think they’re redundant other than the writing on the dial...

I have struggled with the same questions. Had a 114060 traded for LVc. Bought a BLNR. Now I want a black sub again. Can't decide if I should go 114060 again, 116610LN, or go SD43. The SD43 makes the most sense, but I now like thin divers (oxymoron). Had thick divers previously and hated the thickness. Even on a 7.75 wrist. I find it amazing to see such a thin watch with a great depth rating. I have time to decide since I am pushing myself to wait 1 year between purchases. Gives me time to enjoy what I have.

I think the two you are speaking of definitely compliment each other and are different enough to not be redundant. Good luck on your decision.

This. SD43 and Hulk make the perfect Rolex diver combo IMO

Bumping this thread as I have been contemplating a similar choice. Is the LN and LV in the same collection redundant?

I’m thinking yes but the LN and LVc are also classics that I could never let go.... waiting on my Daytona C to be done searching.

Have the above too yet Sub ND is on Everest black strap. Personally feel they both fill a collection in their own way. Add Daytona on leather, SkyD, DD40, and SS Pepsi with jubilee... You then have many diff bracelet types and Rolex movements / tool usage. JMHO

I think I’m there with you but I hear the SD43 wears much smaller than the DDSD. I need to try one on.....soon.

My LN is up for sale - swapped it for a SD43, happy with my decision.

Not hard to find a black Sub should I change mind.

If money is not an issue just hold on to both. Or flip the LN for a blnr and you will have the ultimate modern Rolex trio.

If the ln was your first don’t flip it. Hulk is cool but it’s overhyped right now. Ln will always be a classic and will never be hyped but it will never go out of style either. One of the reasons I chose the ln over hulk.

Can’t argue that choice! There is sentimental value attached to the LN for me so it will stay.

Next one will be the Daytona 500 white dial. How often are you sporting yours over the Hulk and SD43?

I have 6 subs because I like them. If you like it, but it. Don’t worry about the opinions of others.

The Hulk is a great watch, but it gets too much love on these forums. It's a mistake to think of it as much more than a Sub in a cool color that is less versatile than the LN. For better or worse. I have no issue owning both, because Rolex divers are my favorite.
