GMT 2007 I think actually for SS, I think the full gold GMT ceramic came out before 2005 or 2006

Neither. The sub changed to ceramic when it changed to 6 digit. The sub no date came out later in around 2012

Sorry I meant to put sub came out in ceramic in 2008 the full gold 116618
2010 for 116610 and 2012 for 114060

This seems right. I got my first Rolex in the early spring of 2008. I don't recall if there was a stainless steel ceramic GMT-Master II in the case, but there were certainly all the older 5 digit models. I didn't really know a lot about the brand other than I wanted a Yacht-Master or a Submariner. My parents were buying me the watch as a gift for graduating medical school and weren't going to pay for the YM. I was given the option of the Submariner, Submariner Date, or Submariner Date LV. There was no offered price difference between the 16610 and 16610LV. Both were just over 5k. I ended up going with the 16610 because it seemed the most classic. Still love the piece, but wish I got the 16610LV or a 16710 with a Pepsi bezel (I recall them still being in the case).

Sub doesn't have an Easy Link, it's a Glidelock. The ceramic bezel was introduced on the Daytona on the leather strap, PM models prior to the Oyster Flex. The GMT Master and Submariner/Sub Date had them included in their 6 digit updates and at those references various introductions. Was different for SS, TT, Gold

Sorry but I’m a noob here, so is the glidelock the adjustable (size) clasp that Rolex added to the sub ? Is that the one that came out in 2015?

It is, but I'm not sure what you may be referring to that came out in 2015. The Sub Date in SS came out in 2010. Sub no date in 2012. I'm not familiar with any Subs released in 2015. D Blues were 2014. SD43s came out in 2017.

I didn’t find info online about my answer, but was the adjustable clasp and ceramic bezel on the sub released the same time? what year did rolex add them to the sub ? I just read somewhere that it was 2015 but I’m not sure. Also does the gmt and Daytona have an adjustable clasp? It’s just so confusing to find the answer to my simple question when people just use reference numbers to watches.

The adjustable bracelet (glide lock) was added to the Sub when it was changed to the ceramic bezel, which was 2008 for the gold (and two tone I think), 2010 for the stainless date model, and 2012 for the no date.

Any Sub made with the Ceramic bezel will have the glide lock

Check out Rolex.com and each watch's landing page. They'll give you everything you need on all current models.

Model references are straight forward once you get the hang of them. Current line goes 1166xx for Subs, 1165xx for Daytonas and 1267xx for GMT Masters (though last gen movements still are 1167xx).

Last 2 digits
SS: always end in x0
TT: always end in 13
YG: always end in 18
WG: always end in 19

These all have 6 digit reference numbers, hence, why they are referred to as 6 digits. 5 digits, just drop the 2nd number in the reference i.e. 116610 (Sub) becomes 16610. Upsizing like the Explorer 2 and the first digit becomes a 2. Movement update and the second digit becomes a 2.

These aren't always 100%, but those should get you thru almost anything on the forums.
