Is this 6265 Sigma Big Red Dial fake?
I saw this watch from a well known vintage dealer on IG and I have my doubts regarding its authenticity. The "Daytona" print is crooked (imo) and the spacing between it and the subdial is.....interesting. crown also does not look positioned quite correctly to my eye.

I would agree- red text added... Note also how "thick" the print is, compared to the white print. Generally (the ones I've looked at anyway) the red is slightly thicker, but not a lot thicker.
I prefer these WITHOUT the Daytona. I'll never afford one so I can keep on dreaming, but, I prefer the plain, or 'Cosmograph only' dials. Crown may appear "funny" because the movement has uneven pusher spacing- the start/stop pusher is closer to the crown than the reset pusher. That's another detail I love about the early manual Cosmograph. |

Looks OK except for the "Daytona." I've never seen one with the "Daytona" so close to the subdial like that.
What a shame. That dial is ruined now. Can you share the name of the dealer? |

im not sure how deep into the rabbit hole id like to go with this but this was posted by a dealer who was the subject of some controversy and a looonnng discussion on here related to a 6202. unfortunately, i only found this one picture but when you see a dial that was messed with, you have to wonder what else on the watch has been played with. the sad thing is, someone will pay tens of thousands of dollars for this.

Another Robert Moron watch to be viewed and reviewed. It's been a while.

this was my favorite part of the other thread. the constant asking to take down the thread. looks like he is deleting comments on his IG page that call out the watch. |

John, I'm not sure if this watch is an RM special but it was clear in the 6202 thread that there is some sort of relationship. not only did RM refund the funds from a watch LR sold but someone found the same watches available on both RM's and LR's sites.

lol. pass the popcorn please. hopefully people will at least google "Luke Rottman" or "The Watch Adviser" and end up in this thread or the 6202 thread before buying anything from this dipsh1t.
i flagged it as a "scam" on IG. doubt theyll take it down but what else can you do. |

Ha! Search for the Luke Rottman profile on Facebook and it's quite explicit : "Works at Robert Maron Watches."
