Icon7 Meters first sub

Hi
When did Rolex switch from meters first to feet first in the submariner?
Was it on 1968 or there are earlier examples?
Thank you

Somewhere in the early 2 million series you will see

Both meters 1st & Ft 1st. I have personally not seen a meters 1st beyond a 2.4mil serial but they may exist, I'm just not certain.
As far as a definitive yr?? 1969-70 seems logical
