Waiting list for a SD 43...
Good evening all, Quick and simple question for those that have purchased an SD 43 recently.
I put my name on the list today, but I’m hearing a lot of noise out there, I talked to my A.D. and he told me 3 to 6 months, some people are saying two years I spoke with a guy today that put his name down and he got a phone call a week later. Anyone out there currently on the waiting list? And how long have you been on it for this particular watch? THANK YOU! |

I think it’s really hit or miss. My local AD said 3-6 months, but I got one from another AD who had it in stock. It’s a polarizing piece. I think it may actually get more popular like the BLNR once people check it out in person.

Yeah, definitely varies quite a bit from place to place. I walked into a somewhat off the beaten path AD recently, and they had one just sitting in their display case... In Toronto, you'd be laughed out of the major ADs if you even asked about one.
I guess my suggestion would be to try an AD in a small market. There are far more ADs in the US than Canada, so it shouldn't be hard to find a few. Best of luck.

I checked all over Chicago and surrounding suburbs and was told anywhere from 6-24 months. Then checked Wisconsin and found an AD with one in stock. Drove up same day to snap it up. Such an amazing piece.

Check out ADs in middle America that are far from major metros - Nebraska/Oklahoma/Arkansas etc. Some cold calling and a quick flight and you will have it on your wrist much sooner than that.

This is kind of weird, but I was offered a SD43 a week or so ago and I was never on any list. I had mentioned I was interested in the watch, but not sure. The AD had one for me, but I didn’t like the watch. The size of the watch looked cartoonish on my 7” wrist..I did go home with the blue dial platinum bezel Yacht Master 40mm.

It probably depends on the AD, I was talking with one of the ADs in my area and he had one but it was an allocated piece and they were holding it for someone with a detailed purchase history with them. I haven’t see. Any in the display cases near me.

Some of the smaller ADs don't have lists and it may make sense to go in person and inquire. I actually got a call literally 2 days after I went in. Put my name on the list at some larger ADs but got the sense that it wasn't real. PM me if you want more info as I am in NJ as well.

I was advised 12 months but I’m sure they said that just to test me.

depends on your luck and/or AD relationship. With at least one of these I would say no more than 3 months of waiting. SD43 is not hard to get in US.

Shouldn't wait more than 30days from AD. Might be much sooner. Quotes of 2yrs are nonsense. It just isn't as popular as other SS Sports..thats why they are more available. |

I put an order in for it at two ADs within a mile from each other. One told me 4-6 weeks and had it for me in five. The other put me on a "list"... I'm still waiting for their call, 8 months later.

Good luck OP
Wait times really seem to vary depending on where you are. It’s a great reference and I think you’ll love it |
