5513 is here!

Enjoying a vintage 5513, from 4/67 with original green glow dial and hands plus matching ‘67 rivet bracelet. Just arrived today (now riding on a 93150 bracelet which fits me better). Glows green for a few moments and fades fast. As usual, Springer delivers a beautiful piece.

That's one fine example Grant, early green lume dial, matching hands all make an impressive package. Congrats and wear it well.

My year is 1968, and this is the closest, nicest example I found

Sure thing. I took some pics with my iPhone tonight. Usually I shoot things like this with a DLSR & macro lens, but decided to try the iPhone to see how it does. Will edit this post and load in a moment. Always nice to have images for reference. I know I’ve referred to a lot of the more experienced members’ posts. Thx!

Beautiful 5513 Matt dial.

I have the glossy 5513 and hope to have chance to find the Matt dial version after this. Cheers

That braclet is sharp. I always wondered why the end links sat in the lugs the way they do. I guess it's because the spring bars are too thin?

I also wonder about it. This modern, 93150 bracelet is attached with 2.0mm springbars. There is just some flexibility when the watch is off my wrist. The 501B end links wiggle up and down, showing a big gap under the bezel and between the lugs when it’s off my wrist. But when I put it on my wrist, it fits fine.

I don’t wear the correct folded link bracelet that I have for it, because this 93150 fits my wrist better.

Here is a pic, on my wrist, showing the end links fitting nicely.

I’ve always had date subs and these are just so nicely balanced. Of course, I’ve heard people comment on the balanced look, and it just took me a while to “get it”.

Man, that’s a great one! Dial and hands are so creamy. Hard to find them without replacement parts.

Thank you Sir! I’ve had fun working with JP. We met when I found a 1984 16750 Full Set that needed some correct parts. He helped and then located a new home. I love finding ones like that and taking them back to correct. Just fun for me... I can do some, myself, but need help from time to time. Grew up working on cars, residential construction and furniture. Watches are so much more manageable; take up less space and we can easily ship them. Great people in the community! Great hobby for me.
