Since nobody else wants to respond I'll take a shot.
Richard Mille makes an incredibly looking watch IMO however if you read the Network54 forum they seem to be plagued with reliability problems. One reason I would never be interested in one is that the rubber band is only able to be sized once unless ofcourse you want to make it shorter. They must be cut to fit. This is why I prefer a leather band, easy adjustments on warm days. And the cost factor as you mentioned $30k for the entry model RM005. That would buy me four Panerai and two Rolex!

On the watches, Richard Mille designs don't do much for me in photos (can't say I recall seeing one in the metal). If the costs are at the level Mike is saying, then for sure I would put my money elsewhere.....like a Lange 1 perhaps....

I was lucky enough to try a few on in Vegas last September. The AD had three rm005's in stock Titanium 27k, white gold 32k, platinum was about 60k if I remember correctly. They look far better in person than in pictures but the price, wow!

You can check them all out at www.richardmille.com. The RM004 was advertised for $135K in WG; more in Pt. Too damned expensive and not especially good looking IMO. Too delicate for sport watches and too clunky as a dress watch.

Must agree with Al on this watches don't impress me at all only the huge prices.A celeb watch some with blink, horology speaking good movements but if I had the money would not appeal to my taste.
