Got to try out the new 2018 Basel GS and more

I got to try out the new 2018 Basel Grand Seiko and new green Marine Master. Wow, beside the clasps the GS is definitely nicer than a steel DJ, these watches looks much nicer in real life than in the pictures with that amazing dial and polish. I also tried out the green Marine Master, my wife said she would give me the green MM if I want it but...

I like the brown dial GS but I will wait until it comes out with a high beat, the blue GS is nice but it's bit smaller than the brown one

That brown dial will never have the hibeat in it. As it is a LE. I owned the brown dial and flipped it because it was too big.

Thanks for the pics. The green MM (SLA019) seems to be all sold out in this neck of the woods. Wearing mine today

Beautiful watch! You captured it nicely in your pic. OMG, I'm tempted.

Thanks. Price is quite high but it will almost certainly hold its value. I was able to get 15% off but I had to pay half upfront.

I am seriously considering the brown dial.

Nice! Tried to negotiated but the store only agreed to cover sale tax which is about 8.25% off.

I think what is holding me off is the coming S23626 1978 Golden Tuna Anniversary Limited Edition.

I saw the dial and it’s really an amazing piece.
Gold GS and second hand blended nicely on the brown dial with the subtle GS Seikosha logos. The case size is almost similar with the Snowflake and the brown dial in fact makes it look smaller. The watch is on a heavy side compared to the Snowflake but still manageable to carry on the wrist. Excellent craftsmanship by GS!
