Las Vegas
Going to take a trip to LV soon. Any recommendations of shops to visit/pass on? Thanks.

Save yourself the frustration that I had last weekend visiting the shops. Sit by pool/poker table/bar. The AD’s don’t have any. I have been on the lists fo a LV for 9 months of the shops that take names for lists. Now if you drop $$$$ on other pieces, one might magically appear.

LV is great. Tons of great food and luxury goods but the watch shortage has hit there like everywhere else. If you like golf head out to Paiute Golf resort, 3 awesome courses. Great place.

Unfortunately, you may (will) be sadly disappointed. As a Las Vegas local, trust me the well has been tapped and ran dry. All the big hitters, AD @ Bellagio, Tourneau @ Ceasars and flagship @ Wynn are dried up. I have a few inside connections and any "in demand" supply they receive are already earmarked for the "whales" (of which I am not). Just enjoy our fine city and the multitude of entertainment and eating options.

I would go to the Rolex at wynn and Tourneau. The Wynn has a small museum at the back. The staff are nice there. Then go to Tourneau. They have new and pre-owned watches. The staff are also nice. Enjoy!!

Agree with all that’s been said in the above posts! Now, if you’re also looking for other brands (albeit foregoing the hard to find Patek’s) then there is a lot to see and be enticed by. Drop by the Richard Mille store by the Cosmo to browse - the watches are incredible! Costs of those really put our gripes about an 8k markup on a daytona into perspective - and makes them look like a timex by comparison! Enjoy the fabulous food!

I'm here now. Don't bother looking for Rolex sport watches.

Like people have said, not much to be had in Vegas. Do hit the store at Wynn and check out the museum in back, it’s very cool, then walk over to Sinatra at Encore for some Osso Bucco.

there was a shop just past the now closed "lucky dragon" casino hotel on Sahara, that had a pretty decent collection in the "back room". nothing that i was seriously interested in, but he had about 15 Rolex's to look though.

Don't bother, seriously, don't unless you're looking for a DJ or something else very common. Many, many, MANY of us have done the Vegas thing and have not seen a single TRF post about really good / rare at pricing many here would consider reasonable.
If you're thinking Hulk or SS Daytona / SkyD.... aint gonna happen with a walk-in. Maybe if you drop $150k+, maybe then... but generally speaking, just enjoy Vegas for Vegas :)

I have to agree. I live in a city without dealers for a lot of major watch lines. After my last two visits to LV, I bought non-Rolex watches I'd been looking at online but hadn't been able to see in the metal previously.

You're not going to find anything rare in any area with a high turnover of wealthy buyers. Those are high-volume ADs, sure, but any potential extra supply is dwarfed by the sheer number of buyers passing through. You want to stumble across rare stuff, look to the less-traveled places.
All that said, for a fun watch experience in general, Crystals by Aria has a lot of high-end boutiques right next to each other. Probably my favorite watch spot for brands and density of boutiques. |

I was there last month. That is not a museum. it is a little hallway with some graphics and like 3 old rolexes. I asked the sales lady where the "museum" was and she pointed me to the little hallway. I looked into the hallway and like "WTF ? I walked all the way over here for this ?"
