SS Models Doha/Bangalore

Off to Bangalore next week via Qatar.

Anyone had any success buying stainless steel models via the AD in Doha airport or in the city of Dubai?

In the market for a Hulk or GMT BLNR.

Cheers!

I visited the one at the Doha airport almost exactly one year ago. They did have some of the desirable stainless professional models like hulk and sd43 BUT to buy one you also had to buy a Tudor. Not all their inventory is on display, so you need to ask.

Ive heard the Tudor thing before, very bizarre. I wonder if Rolex know about this trading practice.

I'll chance my luck and see what they say, but it's not worth it to me to pay an additional X thousand on top. Would be cheaper on the grey market.

I was in the AD in Doha Airport a week ago. The display cases are very bare and that includes low stock of two tone models. I think you will be very lucky if you get a stainless sports watch and you will have won the lottery if you got either a Hulk or BLNR. the same is true of the AD’s outlet in Doha itself also.

Even though I was against it on principal, I actually did succumb to their business practices and bought a Tudor. I bought a Pelagos LHD and when I got home, I was able to sell it for almost breakeven what I paid. After all the dust settled, my SD43 wound up costing $10.5k BNIB with my name on the card so was definitely worth the extra work. To me anyway.

SS Models Doha/Bangalore

I am resident of Doha and I visit rolex dealer here almost every month and they know me very well. Forget getting any steel sport watch from them these days. Even in airport, I visited the airport branch atleast 5 times this year. Always no steel sports models, only few dj models and if lucky ym1.

With my purchase history with them, I can't get any new watch from them for the last 18 months. The tudor offer is no longer available.

Don’t forget you legally have to declare and pay VAT.

Add VAT to the exchange rate price and it won’t be worth it.

they give you the SS ones for free if you buy multiple PM models
This is especially true in Doha
I only find TT womens watches in India

To be honest I don’t mind paying the VAT, it’s the availability I’m keen on.

If I can get one, brand new and in my hand for retail or thereabouts, then I’ll take it!

But it won’t be anywhere near retail.

Take the price alone with current exchange rate. That alone will be above RRP. Then add 20% and it’s wayyyyyyyy over RRP.

Better sticking to UK and going grey.

I was there too less than a week ago. They got nothing on display. Their Hulk and BLNR are reserved for their regular buyers who pop by and know one of the reps working there. Your timing has to be impeccable.
